The event, which included appearances from Samsung Olympic Ambassador David Beckham, Zara Phillips and the head of London Olympic Committee Lord Coe signified the company’s focus on inspiring individuals.
As Samsung Global ambassador, Beckham introduced the first Olympic flame bearer, Gabriella Roseje.
Beckham said: ‘Gabriella is an impressive and inspiring person. Not only is she successful in her own right, she willingly supports and helps those around her. Gabriella stands out for all the right reasons. I am proud to nominate her as Samsung’s first Olympic torchbearer.’
Meanwhile, the manufacturer also unveiled its new logo for the 2012 Olympics at the event, the Samsung Olympic Visual Identity System (SOVIS), designed by designer and artist Kate Moross.
