Orange Barcelona handset launches

Looking to get into the Android thing without spending much cash? Well, the Orange Barcelona isn't going to break the bank. Although on the downside, it doesn't offer the latest version of Android either.

According to TechRadar, the Huawei-made handset will retail for £119.99 on a pay-as-you-go deal (once you've paid for a £20 top up). Alternatively, contracts start at £15 per month. If you do opt for the contract, it's probably worth thinking about the future as that Android 2.2 OS might be some way behind the crowd in the last year of that deal.

Other features of the Barcelona include a full physical QWERTY keyboard matched up with a 2.6-inch TFT touch-screen. There's also HD voice, a 3.2-megapixel camera, video calling, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity plus seven hours of talktime from a single charge.

It's down as 'coming soon', but you can register an interest with Orange now.
